Over 500 kilometers of trails spread across the Ammergauer Alpen Nature Park.
Hikers, mountaineers, cyclists, mountain and gravel bikers are spoiled for choice between easy and challenging tours.

In Germany's largest contiguous nature reserve, you can marvel at rare plants, unique orchids and the wild diversity of the local fauna.

Pure action is available in the AmmerBow archery course, in the Focus Bike Park or on a fast ride on the Alpine Coaster.

Cooling down is usually provided by a cool footbath at the Ammer springs, a mountain stream or a dip in one of the nearby lakes - and of course a stop at one of the rustic alpine huts and mountain restaurants.

The family ski areas Kolbensattel, Snow Park Oberammergau, Steckenberg and Hörnle are not just for beginners, those who want to take a break from the overcrowded hustle and bustle of other ski regions are also in the right place here. Touring skiers and sledders also gets their money's worth here.

And yet it is only a stone's throw from the premium ski areas on Zugspitze, Alpspitze, Ehrwald and Seefeld..

Hut evenings on Kolbensattel, Laber or Hörnle welcome tourers, snowshoe hikers and sledders in an cosy atmosphere.

There are a good 90 km to explore on the famous King Ludwig trail, where the greats of cross-country skiing also meet every year for the King Ludwig Race. Whether in classic style or skating step - the trail is perfectly prepared by internationally experienced experts.

To warm up, it is worth visiting the sauna area, e.g. the Kristall-Termen, before you end the day with a good glass of wine in the Mammhofer Suite & Breakfast.

In 5 stages from the Wieskirche to Linderhof Castle (84 km) or 6 stages from Bad Kohlgrub via Murnau to Ettal Monastery (105 km), you will experience inner peace and contemplation at places of power.
